Indulgence For Today: Kate In Canada

I'm sure that unless you live in a cave or simply just have a busy life that you have heard about the excitement around Kate Middleton's impeccable fashion sense.

I'd hate to bore you, so here's a little summary of the incredibly stylish outfits worn by this beautiful young lady on her first official overseas trip.

My favourites are definitely
1. The cute red maple leaf fascinator worn a white Reiss dress, red pumps and an equally cute Anya Marchand fan clutch
and
2. A blue Erdem Moralioglu dress with lace sleeves.
(Who am I trying to kid??? I want all of it!)

I can't wait to see what the Duchess has installed for us!!

Need An Outfit, But Have No Time?

Most people I know have a very busy life and their spare time is sooooo precious. The last thing they want to do is spend their precious time in a shopping mall. I have decided to offer some assistance!
How????? Well, email me at simonesmit@live.co.za with your requirements and I'll do the hunting for you!

Here are a few examples of how to do it............

Example no. 1:

I desperately need a hot scarf  and a new handbag for my weekend away. The handbag needs to be casual enough for lazy Saturday afternoons and formal enough for work.
I have a budget of R 700.00. Please help!!

Scarf: R 150.00
It's large enough to give a chunky scarf effect or to wear in summer as a sarong.

Brown bag from Woolworths R 399.00
I selected this particular bag because the colour allows you to wear it as a casual accessory and the shape makes it formal to accessorize your work wardrobe.

Example 2:

I have to attend a birthday party at Vaudeville and needless to say we're popping into The Fez afterwards. I urgently need to find a hot little number. I love asymmetrical dresses and navy blue is my favourite colour. I'm a size 32. I have R900.00 to spend on a dress. I'm office bound and I would like it for this coming Saturday please!

Navy blue asymmetrical dress R 800.00

I'll be at Canal Walk tomorrow, so let me know if I need to find a little something special for you or someone you love!

Indulgence For Today: Queen Rania

Talk about not just being a pretty face.

I have always been fascinated by Queen Rania of Jordan and after reading up about this amazing woman I have an unbelievable amount of respect for her......and she happens to be incredibly stylish.

The extract below is from Queen Rania’s official website.  http://www.queenrania.jo/
Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah is a mother, a wife, a boss, an advocate, humanitarian and the author of a New York Times Best Seller.
Queen Rania spearheads efforts in Jordan to adopt a holistic approach to national education, encouraging agencies and organizations to work on classroom quality, teaching standards, computer access, family involvement, community investment, and health awareness.
Through initiatives, like Madrasati and the Teachers Academy, Queen Rania is helping Jordan’s children get the best start in life by repairing and revamping local schools, while inspiring teachers to be their best.
She believes that the power of partnerships between the public, private, and non-profit sectors is a source of great potential for change in Jordan’s education system.
As an Arab, Muslim woman, Queen Rania is committed to reconciling people of different faiths and cultures by encouraging cross-cultural dialogue, particularly amongst young people.
Her Majesty is married to King Abdullah II Al Hussein of Jordan, they have 4 children. A keen runner, and seeker of good jogging tunes, Queen Rania enjoys spending time with her family and friends in Aqaba, where she can relax and get into a great book.

I hope this leaves you inspired! xXx

Indulgence For Today: Evening Gowns With Long Sleeves

My body is permanently frozen during Winter and I'm also wrapped up tightly. I fear invites to black tie events during Winter as it's always such a mission to stay warm. I thought I would try and find stylish evening dresses with sleeves to protect fashionistas against the cold. Here are a few of my favourites. xXx
